Ghent University, one of the larger Flemish universities, consisting of 38000 students and 7900 staff members. It has been ranked as a top 100 university according to Times Higher Education World University Rankings and the QS World University Rankings.

National Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology (NICC/INCC), the scientific institute oganized within the Belgian Federal Department of Justice. The institute offers an added value for its judicial partners and carries out qualitative scientific research.

The Toxicological Society of Belgium and Luxembourg (BLT), which joins the forensic and clinical toxicologists from these two adjoining countries, providing a platform to facilitate exchange of information between toxicologists.

The Society of Hair Testing (SoHT), an international organization joining all scientists dealing with hair analysis in a forensic context. SoHT is co-host of the TIAFT2018 meeting.
